The Day Off Project

Today was my day off from work, so naturally I had a project to complete. The mission was to unload this pickup full of mulch and transfer it to the area beside the driveway.

This is actually my second load of mulch. I had already transferred a load of mulch to the designated area on a previous day off. So, I knew what I was getting myself into - alot of work!!

Naturally a project of this nature needs a project manager. I am fortunate to have two well qualified project managers.

"Hey Fred, shouldn't we be doing something of a managerial nature?" "Nah, Ralph, two things to remember. First we get paid by the hour. Second what we are doing here is team building. They can't ever fault you for team building, Ralph."

"Hey Fred, I think I hear the taco truck coming. You having tacos today, Fred?" "Nah, Ralph, I brought my lunch today. It is 5:00, yet, Ralph?"

Project completed. Right on time - 5:00. Thanks to my excellent management team!!

  1. Those managers sure make it look easy. The job was done without a bunch of problems, delays, or sweating. I'd say they're pretty effective.

  4. Gus and Gracie, ya'll are some good managers! I think ya'll should teach some leadership retreats so others can be well versed in your managerial skills.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I have a surprise for you back over at mine.
